Maggi The mouthwatering spicy noodles, prepared in majority of the kitchens, restaurants and street food stalls. This hot n spicy food is almost favorite of all children and women. There are 1.21 billion stores across the globe where Maggi is provided either prepared or via packets in raw form.

If you will buy a packet of Maggi from a nearby store you will find no of ingredients in it. Out of such ingredients majority are known to people. But there are some ingredients which are unknown to people and they are usually characterized by E- codes. Here in this article only doubtful ingredients will be decoded .From ingredients point of view major ingredient used in the production of Maggi is wheat, apart from wheat some of the doubtful ingredients present in Maggi are Gaur Gum, Milk Solids, Flavor Enhancer (E-635).

Gaur gum  (This is extracted from Gaur beans (plant origin) which are 100% halal and Veg)                     

Milk solids (This is made from soybean which is of plant origin hence are 100% halal & Veg)

Flavor Enhancer (E- 635) This is the most doubtful ingredient present in Maggi.

This is also known as Di-Sodium – 5 – Ribonucleotide. This flavor enhancer is formed by the mixture of Di-Sodium Guanylate (E- 627) & Di- Sodium Inosinate (E-631) in the ratio of 1:1 . Both E-627 & E-631 are produced from yeast and fermentation of carbohydrates with plant origin therefore are Halal & Veg and thus makes Flavor Enhancer (E-635) 100 % Halal and Vegetarian.
