Fully Funded South Korea Scholarships 2024-2025 - GIST University Scholarships in South Korea 2024

The GIST International Graduate Scholarship for Spring 2024 has been announced. Applications for the GIST University Scholarship in South Korea 2024 are now open. Masters, Master Leading to Ph.D., and Doctoral Degree programs are open to applicants from all countries. Scholarships are fully funded at GIST University. GIST is highly ranked, ranking fourth in South Korea and ranking among the top 100 universities in the world.
The GIST Scholarship is awarded to all international students without the need for a separate application. The scholarship covers tuition, meals, housing, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and flight tickets. There is no application fee at GIST University.

Exemption of English Language Test Proficiency

GIST University offers all courses in English. You may apply without taking the English language exam. If you are chosen, you must submit your test score later.

If you completed your bachelor's degree in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States), you can apply to GIST without taking the English Proficiency Test.
Aside from that, all applicants must submit a score from an official English proficiency test, such as the TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, or TEPS.
  1. TOEFL scores: iBT 80, PBT 550
  2. TOEIC: 750 IELTS: 6.5

The GIST University strongly advises you to take the English test because the Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean test score for visa application. 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants from all countries are welcome to apply.
  2. A bachelor's degree that is equivalent to a Korean bachelor's degree is required.
  3. All required documents must be submitted.
  4. Please read the frequently asked questions.

Required Documents from Students

  1. Official transcripts and degrees are required, but notarized copies are acceptable.
  2. Two letters of recommendation must include the recommenders' signatures and stamps.
  3. The recommenders are not required to send the letters separately or independently.
  4. Report on the official English language test.
  5. The applicant's passport must be copied.

Application Process

  1. Upload the required documents and submit the online application.
  2. When the application and all required documents are confirmed, the International Admissions Coordinator will contact you. (Use the online application to check My Status.)
  3. Admissions results will be communicated by November 30, 2023.
  4. Request a student visa.
