Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships 2024-2025 - Applications are now open for Fully Funded QECS for Masters degree

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth award is a two-year master's degree award offered by an ACU member university in a low- or middle-income Commonwealth country. This means that eligible applicants will complete their degree program in a different nation. The QECS 2024 scholarship is fully funded, thus it will cover all expenditures for the whole period of the program.

The scholarship is awarded in two rounds. Cycle 1 starts in November/December, while Cycle 2 begins in March/April. The applications for Cycle 2 are now available. You are only need to submit one application, but you may apply again if you choose to study in another nation. Citizens (or those with refugee status) from Commonwealth countries are welcome to apply. More details are provided below.

Scholarship Benefits:
The scholarship covers the following:
  1. Tuition fees are fully paid.
  2. The award includes a stipend for living expenses and return economy flights to the host country.
  3. One-time arrival allowance.
  4. Research Support Grant (on request only, subject to approval)

  2. Ghana: Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
  3. Mauritius: University of Mauritius
  4. Papua New Guinea: Papua New Guinea University of Technology
  5. South Africa: University of Pretoria, University of Venda
  6. Sri Lanka: University of Colombo, University of Sri Jayewardenepura

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants from Commonwealth countries are welcome to apply.
  2. Age Criteria: There is no upper age limit for receiving a QECS Award.
  3. To be eligible to apply, you must have completed at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate degree.
  4. You must have already earned your undergraduate degree. Final-year students are ineligible.
  5. The funds are only accessible for two years.
  6. The QECS grants are only valid for full-time study.
