Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Lausanne Master’s Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a foreign university degree recognized as equivalent to a UNIL graduate degree before beginning the master’s program.

  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance throughout previous studies.

  • Possess language proficiency of at least C1 level in French or English (depending on the language of instruction of the chosen program).

  • Not be current UNIL scholarship holders.

  • Be able to finance any remaining costs beyond the scholarship coverage.

  • Copy of secondary school diploma

  • Official academic transcripts

  • Passport-sized photograph

  • Description of last semester if bachelor’s degree is pending

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Two letters of recommendation

  • Proof of language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS)

  • Proof of payment for the application fee (CHF 200)

For applicants from countries not party to the Lisbon Recognition Convention, certified copies of academic documents must be mailed separately in a sealed envelope by the application deadline.
