​Comprehensive Financial Benefits

  • Master’s & Postgraduate Students: You will receive €992 per month for two years (the standard study duration).
  • PhD Students: You will receive €1,400 per month for three years (the standard study duration).

Additional Family & Travel Support:

  • Health Insurance: Subsidy of up to €120 per month.
  • Family Allowance: €276 per month if your spouse lives with you in Germany.
  • Child Allowance: €250 per month per child.
  • Extra Funding: Scholars can apply for subsidies for research travel abroad and, in some cases, reimbursement of university tuition fees.

​Eligibility Requirements

​To qualify for the KAS Germany Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet specific strict criteria. Note that this scholarship is not for Bachelor’s studies.

  • Education: You must already hold a university degree.
  • Academic Excellence: You must demonstrate above-average academic performance (good grades and test scores).
  • Language Skills: Good knowledge of the German language (B2-level) is mandatory.
  • Social Commitment: You must be actively involved in voluntary work or community service.
  • Duration: You must plan to study in Germany for at least four semesters.
