A great scholarship opportunity to start your studies in South Korea! Applications are now open for the KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2025. KAIST offers a "Full Scholarship" for international students, and anyone from outside Korea can apply. If you're already studying at another university, you can still apply. Plus, you don’t need to provide a TOPIK (Korean language test) certificate when applying. The Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduates (GKS-U) is also available, providing full financial support.

KAIST Scholarship Requirements
- Must be an international student.
- You must apply for admission to KAIST, and if admitted, you’ll automatically receive the scholarship—no separate application needed.
- You need to maintain a GPA of at least 2.7 out of 4.3 after your freshman year.
Study Fields
You can apply to various programs, including Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Science & Bioengineering, Liberal Arts, and Business. Some of the available fields are:
- Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Nanoscience.
- Engineering: Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, and more.
- Business: Management Engineering, Business & Technology Management.
English Proficiency
- Submitting English test results like TOEFL or IELTS is recommended but not required.
- You can still apply without these scores, and it won’t hurt your chances.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have foreign citizenship, with neither parent being a Korean citizen.
- Korean-origin applicants must have completed their entire education outside Korea.
- Those holding Korean citizenship (even dual citizenship) cannot apply as international students.

Application Process
- Read the admission guidelines carefully.
- Create an account at KAIST Application Portal.
- Review your application to make sure everything is correct.
- Pay the application fee (80 USD or 80,000 KRW).
- There’s no separate scholarship application—once accepted, you’ll automatically receive the KAIST Scholarship.
