The KI Global Masters Scholarships offer some tuition-fee scholarships to excellent students who have been admitted to one of the institute’s Global Master’s Programmes starting each Autumn semester.

Karolinska Institutet Global Scholarship Details:

Karolinska Institutet offers some tuition fee scholarships to excellent students who have been admitted to one of her Global Master’s Programmes starting each Autumn semester. 

Karolinska Institutet awards 10 scholarships are awarded per year, spread to all the Global Master’s Programmes. The competition is fierce with approximately 1500 international students applying for the scholarship annually.

Karolinska Institute, as a university, stands as Sweden’s most extensive hub for academic medical research and provides the broadest array of medical courses and programs in the country. Since 1901, the Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute has been responsible for the selection of Nobel laureates in the field of Physiology or Medicine

KI Global Masters Scholarship 2026 Requirements:

1. To be eligible for the Karolinska Institutet KI Global Masters Scholarship you must
2. have applied to one of Karolinska Institutet’s Global Master’s Programmes starting in 2025
3. be a tuition fee paying student (from outside the EU/EEA)
4. have paid the application fee by 2 February 2026
5. fulfil the entry and documentation requirements for the programme you have applied for
6. Only first year students are eligible to apply.

Benefits of Karolinska Institutet Global 2026 Scholarship

The Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Scholarship only covers the tuition fee (or part of the tuition fee for programmes only partially given by Karolinska Institutet). Travel, living expenses and other costs must be met with other funding.

Furthermore, please note the KI Global Master’s Scholarship only covers tuition fee for students enrolled at a Global Master’s Programme at Karolinska Institutet and cannot be used for other studies.

Selection Process for Karolinska Institutet Global Scholarship

The selection process is based on an overall assessment of the applicant’s CV and qualifications that are submitted via UniversityAdmissions and evaluated in connection with the application for a Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s programme. Fellowship awardees will be personally notified on 27 April 2025.

Important dates

1. 2 February 2026: Deadline to submit the CV form via your account at University Admissions
2. 9 February to 25 February 2026: Scholarship application period
3. 27 April 2026: Scholarship awardees are notified by email
4. 30 April 2026: Deadline to accept the scholarship offer

1. To apply for the KI Global Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should

3. Apply for admission to any one of your desired Masters program offered by the Karolinska Institutet.
4. Application for admission must be completed between October 15, 2025, and February 2, 2026.
5. After securing admission, you will then proceed to apply for the scholarship in 2026.
6. Scholarship application period is between 9-25 February 2025.
