Comprehensive Financial Benefits
The Master Mind Scholarship is one of the most generous in Europe, designed to cover your major living and academic costs.
- Annual Grant: You receive €10,225 per year, paid in installments, to cover accommodation, insurance, and daily living expenses.
- Full Tuition Waiver: You are entitled to a waiver of your tuition fees. You only need to pay a small administrative enrollment fee (approx. €136.50 – €140 per year).
- Renewal: For two-year programs, the scholarship is renewed for the second year provided you earn at least 54 ECTS in your first year.
Eligibility Requirements
To be nominated, you must be a "high potential" candidate with a stellar academic record.
- Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 is required.
- Degree Origin: Your previous degree must be from a higher education institution outside of Flanders.

English Proficiency:
- IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 7.0.
- TOEFL: Minimum total score of 94.
- (Certain institutions may accept a C1 level certificate or an exemption letter).
- Exclusions: You cannot combine this with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship or other Flemish government grants. Preparatory or distance learning programs are not eligible.
How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
The university—not the student—starts the formal scholarship application.
- Apply for Admission: Submit a complete application for an eligible Master’s program at a participating Flemish university before their specific deadline.
- Express Interest: During your admission application, look for a section or "Candidacy Form" to indicate you wish to be considered for the Master Mind Scholarship.
- Institutional Preselection: The university reviews all admitted students and selects a limited number (usually up to 20) to nominate to the Flemish government.
- Mobility-Online Portal: If nominated, you will receive an email from the Mobility-Online tool. You must then log in to complete your scholarship file.
- Final Results: The Flemish Ministry will announce the final winners by the end of May 2026.
