- 19 Fully-funded PhD Opportunities at University College Cork as part of Rinn Artificial Intelligence are available for EU and non-EU students to start on October 1st 2026 representing a total investment of €2.85 million.
- The Research Ireland Rinn network, launched in June 2026, has been established to address the key challenges and opportunities of our time through excellence in research and innovation igniting the next generation of positive societal, economic and environmental transformation for Ireland and the world. - Fees for EU students will be covered automatically, while non-EU students will receive a fee waiver from University College Cork.
- Alongside their individual PhD research, students will benefit from a structured, cohort-based PhD training programme.
- Students will benefit from extensive engagement with industry and public service partners and from an enrichment experience e.g., industry training placements, an academic research visit to an internationally renowned collaborating institution, or other similar activities.
