  • A graduate degree and the admission requirements of the selected program are required.
  • Applicants must meet the specific academic requirements of the selected specialised bachelor’s, specialised master’s, or continuing training program.
  • The relevant academic degree must have been earned no more than 20 years before the start of the program. This period is extended by one year for each childbirth and/or adoption.
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience in one of the 32 eligible countries is required after completing the most recent graduate degree and before the application deadline.
  • A good written and spoken command of the language in which the selected program is taught is required.
  • Basic knowledge of French can help with integration into daily life in Belgium.
  • Only one training program can be selected for the application.

How to Apply for the Belgium Scholarships in 2025:

  • The applicants first need to have an active GIRAF account. Those without an account must submit an account creation request.
  • After logging into GIRAF, applicants can access the application form under the “Competitive Calls” section by clicking “Application – International Training 2027–2028.”
  • The application form can be completed in multiple sessions by clicking the “Save as Draft” option.
  • A saved application can be accessed through the “My Tasks” section under “Competitive Calls.”
  • The application form must be filled out carefully because once submitted, it can no longer be modified.
