Eligibility Criteria

  • Have at least 2 years of full-time professional experience after earning a bachelor’s degree

  • Show proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Be 35 years old or younger at application time

  • Not currently enrolled in any graduate program

  • Not have completed undergraduate or master’s degrees outside your home country (in principle)

  • Not be applying for a second master’s degree

  • Have a family income below US$50,000 per year and an individual income below US$25,000 per year (Certificate of Income required if selected)

  • Intend to begin studies at APU in September 2026

Application Process

  1. Apply online to APU: Register and submit your application through the APU graduate admissions system.

  2. Indicate scholarship request: Within your APU online application, request to be considered for the ADB Scholarship.

  3. Upload employment certificates: Provide Certificates of Employment from your current and, if applicable, previous employers. These documents must show employment duration and income.

  4. Alternative income proof: If employment certificates are unavailable, recent income tax returns can be used.

  5. Submit by deadline: Make sure all documents and your application reach APU by January 9, 2026.

  6. Selection process: APU will shortlist candidates and forward recommendations to the Asian Development Bank. Final recipients are chosen by the ADB–JSP Committee.
